Project Objectives1. To hold a five (5) day workshop in Mogadishu to build the capacity of youth leaders, women leaders, community leaders, traditional courts representatives, chiefs and law enforcement personnel on community conflict prevention and responses.
2. To increase community awareness on community conflict prevention and responses, with a holistic perspective that includes reconciliation, mediation, negotiation and peace-building, by forming a multi-sector advocacy network at the two districts level.
Project Results1. Trained 30 youths as conflict prevention and response ToTs
2. Established youth peace committee for the districts of Afgoye and Jowhar
3. Established peace advocacy network (PAN groups) in Afgoye and Jowhar districts
4. Reached 4600 people through key messages on conflict prevention and response
5. Initiated first ever collective discussion forum on peace and conflict resolution for actors of community leads, local authority, religious leaders, women and youth

Project TitleStrengthening women led community based institutions
Period of PerformanceMay to July 2017
LocationBaidoa, Bay Region – South West State of Somalia
Role of Organization1. Assess and identify women led community based organization
2. Identify areas of the selected women led CBOs institutional capacity building
3. Provide training on the specific areas of institutional capacity building needs
3. Evaluate the level of understanding and capacity of the CBOs trainees-
Project Objectives1. Provide indept context analysis of women led CBOs in Bay regions
2.Capacity build women led community based organizations in Bay region
Project Results1. Trained and capacity built 12 women led CBOs
2. Shared context analysis and mapped women CBOs in Bay region to enable to enable design for future intervention intended to capacity build and engage women led organizations in the region
Project 3
Project TitleBuilding and good governance awareness project in Kismayo during the formation of Jubaland State
Period of PerformanceJune to November 2014
LocationKismayo–Jubaland
Role of Organization1. Conduct peace-building workshops for community elders, youths, women groups and religious leaders
2. Conduct radio talk-shows for prominent political leaders and figures on community dialogue for state building
3. Establish community led peace advocacy networks
Project Objectives1. Sensitize community leaders on the role of women, youth, religious leaders and clan elders to build peaceful environment
2. Increase awareness on the local authorities role to implement good governance practices through equal access to justice by all
3. Initiate community dialogue on their role to participate state building
Project Results1. Conducted two workshop on peace-building and good governance training 200 participants representing clan elders, youth members, women groups, religious leaders and local district authorities
2.Through community dialogue different clan formed the first community dispute resolution committee to address matters of existing and emerging clan conflicts
3. Empowering community groups participate state building process and have their representations
