RAHO’s livelihood program aims to promote and protect the right to food of internally displaced persons (IDPs), rural communities and returnees in Somalia. Within these specific objectives are.

1. To fulfil the immediate food needs of IDPs and maintain their adequate nutritional status in emergency situations – hunger relief programming, 

2. To promote self-reliance, and support durable solutions as soon as the context allows; to contribute to food security, livelihoods and recovery in various phases of displacement

3. To promote education, alleviate short-term hunger and improve cognitive learning and that assists the local communities to strengthen or diversify their livelihood opportunities including microfinance/income- generation activities,
